Simple French Toast Recipe with Bananas & Honey

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (500 mL) Milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 ripe banana peeled, sliced
  • 2 tbsp liquid honey
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) frozen orange juice concentrate thawed
  • 12 slices day-old whole wheat bread
  • Butter
  • Sliced bananas
  • Maple syrup

Preparation

In blender container, combine milk, eggs, banana, honey and juice concentrate. Cover and blend a high speed until smooth.

Pour over bread slices in large pan. Turn slices of bread over once; cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours, preferably overnight.

In large frypan or electric skillet, melt a small amount of butter over medium heat. Cook bread until golden on both sides, adding more butter to pan as needed. Serve with sliced bananas and maple syrup.
