Who Like Crunchy Snacks
Want crackly crunch that’s satisfyingly simple?
Pre-heat oven to 350 °F (180 °C). Cut a whole grain tortilla into wedges. Spread the wedges on a baking sheet and sprinkle them lightly with brown sugar and cinnamon. Bake for 6 minutes. Using a spatula, flip over the wedges and bake them for another 6 minutes (until they begin to change color). Remove from the oven, let cool and store in an air tight container. Serve with your child’s favourite yogurt as a dip.
Seeking a snack that’s fresh, fun and fast?
Spread cream cheese in the middle opening of a celery branch. Sprinkle with dried cranberries and shredded cheese, and enjoy!
Need a new way to serve up your child’s faves? Try rethinking a classic!
Always have some of your children’s favourite cheeses on hand. Whether it is Canadian Havarti, Canadian Gouda, Canadian Monterey Jack, Canadian Cheddar or Canadian Brie, any cheese can be paired with a whole grain cracker. Pack cheese and crackers separately (so the crackers don’t get mushy), and children can make their own little mini cheese and cracker combination at snack or lunch time.
