Trio of Fruit Smoothies

These drinks are made with frozen fruit and fresh, cold milk so you can enjoy the taste of summer goodness any time of the year.

Preparation

What You Need


Very Berry Smoothie:
1 cup (250 ml) milk
3/4 cup (180 ml) frozen strawberries
3/4 cup (180 ml) frozen raspberries
1 tbsp (15 ml) sugar
1/2 cup (125 ml) vanilla yogurt

Banana Split Smoothie:
1 1/2 cups (375 ml) chocolate milk
1 large frozen banana
1 cup (250 ml) frozen strawberries

Blueberry Peach Smoothie:
1 cup (250 ml) milk
2 cups (500 ml) frozen sliced peaches
3/4 cup (180 ml) frozen blueberries
1 tbsp (15 ml) sugar
2/3 cup (160 ml) peach yogurt

Instructions

For each variation: In blender or food processor, purée together milk, frozen fruit and sugar (if called for) until smooth. Add yogurt (if called for); blend well.

Pour into tall glasses. Serve immediately.


Tips

For the Adventurous: Prepare Blueberry Peach Smoothie and add red or white wine to taste when adding yogurt.
