Frozen Nougat with Dried Fruit
This dessert bears close resemblance to regular nougat, but with a rich frozen texture. The crunchy taste of nuts and the soft texture of dried fruit make a stunning taste combination. You’ll be delighted!

Line 9- x 5-inch (23 x 13 cm) loaf pan with plastic wrap and set aside.
In the clean bowl of a mixer, beat egg whites with salt until stiff peaks form.
In a small saucepan, boil the honey for 30 seconds. Drizzle over the egg whites while whisking rapidly, continue beating for 1 minute.
Add almonds, pistachios and dried fruit, mixing gently with egg whites. Add ice cream and continue mixing. Pour the creamy mixture into the prepared pan. Smooth top and freeze for 4 hours.
Turn out the nougat, remove the plastic wrap and serve sliced. Serve with the fruit sauce of your choice.
Notes: The nougat can be prepared several days ahead.
