Instructions
In small bowl, combine yogurt, cucumber, garlic and sugar. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Chill for 1 hour to blend flavours. Serve with souvlaki or grilled chicken sandwiches.
Variation: For a thicker sauce, start with yogurtcheese : line a 6 inch (15 cm) strainer with a double layer of cheesecloth; place over bowl. Add 2 cups (500 mL) plain yogurt (with no gelatin or starch added) to strainer.
Cover and refrigerate 24 hours to drain. Discard whey liquid.
Makes about 1 ½ cup (325 mL).
