What You Need

1 1/2 lbs (750 g) ground, uncooked chicken or
turkey
1 1/2 cups (375 ml) milk
2/3 cup (160 ml) fine dry bread crumbs
1 tsp (5 ml) garlic salt
1 egg
Butter
1 cup (250 ml) chopped onion
1 tbsp (15 ml) paprika
2 tsp (10 ml) chicken bouillon mix or
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1/2 cup (125 ml) water
1 tbsp (15 ml) flour
1/2 cup (125 mg) sour cream
Salt
pepper, to taste
Paprika

Instructions

Combine chicken, 1/2 cup (125 mL) of the milk, bread crumbs, garlic salt and egg in large bowl. Mix well. With floured hands, shape into 6 patties.

Melt a small amount of butter in large frypan. Sauté patties on both sides until golden, adding more butter to pan as needed. Remove patties; set aside.

Melt a little more butter in same frypan; sauté onions until golden. Blend in paprika and bouillon mix; stir in water. Return patties to pan. Bring mixture to boil. Cover; reduce heat and simmer 10 min or until patties and onions are cooked. Remove patties from pan; keep warm.

Smoothly combine flour and remaining milk; stir into pan. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture boils and thickens. Remove from heat; stir in sour cream. Add salt and pepper to taste. To serve, pour sauce over patties and sprinkle with paprika.
