Scrumptious Smoothies
A quick and nutritious way to start the day or for an afternoon pick-me-up. Whatever the flavour combination, cold milk and tangy yogurt make these smoothies truly scrumptious.

Zesty Banana Orange Smoothie:

Instructions
In blender, combine milk, fresh and frozen fruit or ice cubes, flavourings (as called for); purée until smooth. Add yogurt and pulse just until blended. Sweetend to taste as desired.
Pour into tall glasses. Serve immediately.
Tips
For the Adventurous:
Prepare Zesty Banana Orange Smoothie as Banana Chocolate Smoothie with Chocolate milk and 2 tbsp (30 mL) chocolate syrup in place of honey and omit orange rind.
Prepare Icy Mocha Smoothie with 2 tbsp (30 mL) coffee-flavoured liqueur in place of instant coffee.
Prepare Tropical Smoothie by adding 1/2 cup (125 mL) chopped peeled papaya and/or 1/4 cup (60 mL) dark or coconut-flavoured rum.
