Preparation

What You Need


Lime Cilantro Butter:
1/2 cup (125 ml) butter, softened
2 tbsp (30 ml) cilantro, chopped
1/2 tsp (2 ml) lime rind, grated
1 tbsp (15 ml) lime juice
2 tsp (10 ml) sweet red pepper, finely chopped

Maple-Pecan Butter:
1/2 cup (125 ml) butter, softened
1/3 cup (75 ml) maple syrup
1/4 cup (50 ml) toasted pecans, chopped

Spicy Cheddar Butter:
3/4 cup (175 ml) Canadian Cheddar cheese, finely shredded
1/2 cup (125 ml) butter, softened
1 tbsp (15 ml) pickled hot pepper rings, chopped
Hot pepper sauce

Instructions

Lime Cilantro Butter:

Beat together butter, cilantro, lime rind, lime juice and red pepper. Add salt and pepper to taste. Let stand 1 hour to blend flavours.

Makes 2/3 cup (150 mL). Preparation time: 5 minutes

Maple-Pecan Butter:

Beat together butter, maple syrup and pecans. Add salt and pepper to taste. Let stand 1 hour to blend flavours.

Makes 1 cup (250 mL).
Preparation time: 5 minutes

Spicy Cheddar Butter:

Beat together Canadian Cheddar cheese, butter and hot peppers. Add hot pepper sauce to taste. Let stand 1 hour to blend flavours.

Makes 3/4 cup (175 mL).
