Acne and Milk Products
Milk products are not associated with acne. According to dermatologists, a hormone imbalance and the excess production of sebum, which causes pimples, appear to be the culprits behind acne. Heredity and stress also seem to play a role.
In the past, some health professionals recommended eliminating foods such as chocolate, high-fat foods, candy and milk products. However, no serious study has yet established a link between a particular food and acne.
Most dermatologists today do not tell their clients to avoid any specific food but rather suggest that they maintain good personal health practices and nutrition based on the recommendations of Canada’s Food Guide.
