Prince Edward Island

Canada’s "Gentle Island" is home to four cheese makers who produce a variety of classic Canadian cheeses from cow’s milk, including Cheddars, Bricks, Goudas and Monterey Jacks, as well as other consumer favourites such as Mozzarellas.

Prince Edward Island may be the country’s smallest province, but its cheese makers are just as passionate as their counterparts across the country, as evidenced by the delicious cheeses they produce. In fact, one the island’s cheese makers was awarded Category champion at the 2009 Canadian Cheese Grand Prix for its outstanding extra old Cheddar. That’ just one more reason to discover the great products made in Anne of Green Gables’ home province!
