What You Need
Instructions
In a bowl, using a spoon, mash shredded cheese and cream cheese until blended. Stir in raisins.
Pat celery dry and cut each stalk crosswise into four pieces, each about 3 inches (7 1/2 cm) long. Spoon cheese mixture evenly into hollow of each celery stick, packing lightly.
Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate for up to 2 days.
Tips
If your family loves dried cranberries, use them in place of the raisins.
Use your favourite shredded Canadian cheese in place of the Cheddar. Try Canadian Brick, Canadian Mozzarella or Canadian Monterey Jack.

Add a bit of 'marjoram' in this cheese mixture. It ads a nice subtle blend of flavour and everyone will just love it. Marjoram is the only spice that really goes well with celery.
Also, if you finely chop a little red pepper to this, it looks good to serve as a Christmastime appetizer !!! -

When adding raisins to the cheese on your celery stick put one golden raisin and then one Thompson raisin to make a light/dark trail along the celery stick. Visual appeal to eat your ants on the log.
