What You Need
8 oz
(225 g)
Canadian Brie Double Crème* cheese
1/3 cup
(80 ml)
flour
4
egg whites
1 cup
(250 ml)
Italian
or
regular
bread crumbs
A deep
fryer
or
a saucepan containing
boiling oil
Instructions
Remove rind from cheese and cut it in small 1/2 in (1 cm) cubes. Roll cubes in flour, then in egg white, then in bread crumbs. Place in freezer for 30 minutes before frying.
Deep fry for about 1 minute and place on absorbent paper.
Serve hot, as appetizers or entrées, on a bed of lettuce leaves.
Tips
*You can also try another similar soft cheese like Canadian Camembert.
